REGISTRATION

Thank you for your interest in Adrenaline Dance! To ensure your registration is processed securely and efficiently, please complete all sign-ups through our online system. We are unable to accept registrations via phone, email, or mail.

To help you plan, please note that participation in the Competition Experience requires registration for the full 2-3 day Classroom Series. If you’d prefer to join us just for the Classroom Series you are more than welcome to do so—no competition entry is necessary.

To provide the best experience for all attendees, our event spaces are limited and registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register as early as possible to guarantee your spot before our ballrooms reach capacity. Please note that all registrations are final and non-refundable. 

In order to bring you the best possible experience, please submit all registration details 45 days prior to each event. If you require additional time for any reason, reach out to our team. (Payment is due 30 days prior to each event to secure the early rate.)

All registration fees must be paid in full by the end of day Monday the week leading into the event. Registrations with balances may be removed at the discretion of our Leadership Team. 

Please Note: While we always strive for consistency, we do reserve the right to update our rules and regulations at any time as needed.

DEPOSITS 

To secure enrollment for your dancers/teachers, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. Please ensure your full balance is settled at least 30 days before the event. Payments made after this 30-day window will automatically update to late fees. 

1–3 Competition Experience Entries: $210 

4–20 Competition Experience Entries: $500 

21–40 Competition Experience Entries: $1,000 

41–60 Competition Experience Entries: $1,500 

61–75 Competition Experience Entries: $2,000

Please note: Personal checks are only accepted prior to the 30-day event cutoff.

REGISTRATION LIMITS

We are happy to accommodate up to 75 Competition Experience entries (30-solo limit) for studios registering 5 or more full Classroom Series participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Every city is unique, so please check your specific event page for details—additional space for solo entries may become available!

Studios registering more than 80 dancers for the full Classroom Series are welcome to inquire about requesting additional entries into the Competition Experience. 

Please Note: Each dancer is limited to one solo entry per Adrenaline Dance event unless otherwise stated

If you would like to request additional entries, please contact our office; we’ll do our best to accommodate you!

INDEPENDENT REGISTRATIONS

To keep our records organized, all individual dancers should be registered through an account created by their Studio or Program Owner/Director. While registration is managed this way, dancers are more than welcome to attend the event without their director present.

ON-SITE REGISTRATIONS

We highly recommend registering for our event in advance, as we cannot guarantee space for registrations at the door. If you do choose to register on-site, we are happy to include you in the Classroom Series (subject to availability), but we are unable to add entries for the Competition Experience.

On-site workshop payments can be made via cash, credit card, or cashier’s check. 

SCHOLARSHIP & AWARD REDEMPTION

We are excited to help you apply previously won scholarships and awards to your new registrations! Our office verifies all scholarship/award submissions during the registration process to ensure everything is set for your arrival. To help us stay organized, please keep your physical scholarship/award certificate handy, as we may need you to send a copy to our office upon request.

To ensure your discount is captured correctly, please apply your scholarship/award at the time of checkout. If payment is completed before applying scholarships, a credit will be issued rather than a refund. 

PAYMENT

In addition to online payments via credit card, we gladly accept company checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders, all in US Dollars. (If you are making an international payment, please see below)

A special discount for studios that pay via check or cashier’s check is available! To take advantage of this, simply reach out to our office to coordinate your payment before the 30-day early-bird deadline. Please be sure to notify us before you send your payment so we can ensure the discount is applied to your account.

To help us get everything ready for your event—including schedules, competition orders, studio packets, scholarship numbers, and observer bands—we require that all accounts be paid in full before this final event information is provided.

International Payments: We are happy to accept cash, credit cards, or cashier’s checks. Please connect with the Adrenaline and Revive office before processing any credit card payments. Please note that we are unable to accept international checks.

Please Note: To keep our bookkeeping running smoothly, a $35 fee will apply to any returned checks.

CLASSROOM SERIES SCHEDULE

The Classroom Series schedule layout may vary from event-to-event and is subject to updates as we finalize details. We aim to have the schedule posted for your planning 7 days before the event.

To further form a sense of community, each event will begin with a  Welcome Celebration on Friday afternoon. All dancers registered for the Classroom Series, along with registered Studio Directors/Teachers are welcome and encouraged to join! The attending faculty, pro-assistants, and Honored Dancer winners will be introduced, and dancers will receive an exciting introduction to their weekend with Adrenaline Dance.

To create the most vibrant learning environments, Minis & Juniors may be combined in some cities, and Teens & Seniors may be combined in others. Please rest assured that to keep the audition process fair, Minis will not audition against Juniors for scholarships, and Teens will not audition against Seniors, even if they are in the same ballroom.

Please Note: We are thrilled to bring an incredible faculty lineup exclusive to Adrenaline to every city! Faculty may vary by location and is subject to change. 

CLASSROOM SERIES TUITION

Tuition pricing for the Classroom Series is listed below. If you are looking for a breakdown of the Competition Experience fees, those can be found by logging into the Studio Owner/Director registration portal.

We understand that organizing attendance/registration for your studio takes significant time and care. Studio Owners/Directors are welcome to apply their own administrative fees on top of the tuition price to cover the time and expenses incurred while organizing, registering, and attending our event.

CLASSROOM SERIES (ONE-DAY) 

We are happy to accommodate one-day registration for the Classroom Series! Please note that one-day participants are not eligible for scholarships and are unable to participate in the Competition Experience.

STUDIO REPRESENTATIVE PASS

Studios with Sparks, Mini, and/or Junior dancers registered for the Classroom Series will receive one complimentary Studio Representative Pass per ballroom (up to 3 total). This pass allows you to observe select classes. Please note that these passes will not provide access to auditions, teacher-only classes, or the Teen/Senior ballrooms. For everyone's ease, please keep this pass visible to our staff during all Classroom Series sessions.

OBSERVER PASS (new this season)

A limited number of Observer Passes will be available for purchase onsite on a first-come, first-served basis at the beginning of each event weekend. Observer Passes are $100 each and are sold separately for each ballroom (Mini, Junior, Teen, Senior).

An Observer Pass grants access to view the final 20 minutes of each Classroom Series session in the ballroom and/or age group for which the pass was purchased. Guests will be admitted by the designated ballroom's Room Monitor at the appropriate time and must remain in the designated viewing area at all times.

The number of Observer Passes available per ballroom, per event weekend, is determined at the sole discretion of the Revive Dance onsite team. Observer Passes are not available for advance purchase and may only be purchased onsite, subject to availability.

Observer Passes do not grant access to the Audition Experience or any Studio Director/Teacher class offerings.

Observer Passes may only be purchased by the parent and/or guardian of a registered dancer. Additional passes may not be purchased on behalf of another individual.  

Observer Passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and valid only for the event at which they were purchased. The Revive Dance team reserves the right to revoke an Observer Pass at any time if these guidelines are not followed.

Please visit the Registration Desk at the beginning of the event weekend for Observer Pass availability, purchases, or additional information.

Please Note: In order to maintain and honor the curriculum designed for our SPARKS attendees, Observer Passes will not be available for purchase for these classes. Studios will appoint a Studio Representative who will be the designated attendee for the SPARKS room.

COMPLIMENTARY HOTEL ROOM

We want to make your stay seamless. If your studio qualifies for a complimentary hotel room, please book your reservation directly within the group block at our event’s host hotel. Once booked, simply fill out the VIP Hotel Form under the "Register" tab so we can cover the cost. 

Please Note: We are unable to cover rooms reserved through third-party sites like Expedia, Kayak, or reservations using hotel points.

COMPETITION EXPERIENCE

At Adrenaline Dance, the Competition Experience is designed to provide a supportive and comfortable environment where dancers can shine, showcase their talents, and receive constructive critiques from our faculty judges to help them grow and refine their skills.

To capture the magic of the weekend, our team (including instructors, directors, contractors, and venue partners) will be taking photos and videos throughout the event. This media may be used to celebrate our participants through onsite media creations, promotional materials, social media, our website, and brochures.

We want every dancer to enjoy their time as a competitor! If a performer(s) is unable to complete their performance for any reason, the entry will be scored based on the performance that was presented. If a re-performance is desired, it will be for adjudication only and ineligible for overall placement. Of course, we will make exceptions for production-related circumstances at the Convention Director’s discretion.

All dancers participating in the Competition Experience must be registered for the full Classroom Series at the same event. Please ensure all names, ages, and birthdates are accurate on your studio registration so we can process everything smoothly.

To ensure a fair and equitable Competition Experience for everyone, our staff reserves the right to deduct points or disqualify routines that do not adhere to our guidelines (such as media policies, costume/content appropriateness, unauthorized props, or time limits).

We love having a cheering section! Friends and family are warmly invited to attend the Competition Experience and the closing show at no additional cost.

COMPETITION EXPERIENCE SCHEDULE

The Competition Experience may begin as early as Friday morning (Thursday morning for our events in Utah). We understand that school and travel schedules can be tricky—please let us know about any potential conflicts AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. We will do our very best to accommodate your requests on a first-come, first-served basis.

To keep the Competition Experience running in a timely manner, please ensure your dancers are ready for their performance order. Any entry that is late, without prior approval from the Competition Manager, may receive a deduction of .5 points per judge. If an unexpected circumstance arises, please let our backstage check-in team know as soon as possible.

DRESSING/CHANGING ROOMS

We provide separate female, male, and gender neutral dressing rooms at every event to ensure all participants have a comfortable space to prepare for their performances. To keep things safe and organized, please remember that these areas are not for rehearsals, and photo/video recording is strictly prohibited at all times.

COMPETITION EXPERIENCE ENTRY FEES

All Competition Experience entry fees are available by logging into your account in the Studio Owner/Director registration portal. Please note that all fees are per participant, per entry.

COMPETITION EXPERIENCE AGE DIVISIONS

Sparks Division: Average age 5-7

Mini Division: Average age 8-10

Junior Division: Average age 11-12

Teen Division: Average age 13-15

Senior Division: Average age 16-19

Age verification: All ages are as of January 1, 2027. Dancers should be prepared to present proof of age if requested.

Calculating age averages: Add all ages together and divide by the total number of dancers in the entry, then round down to the nearest whole number. (Example: if the average calculated age is 15.6,  it will become 15, and the entry will be in the Teen Division)

Adult Division: If an entry includes a teacher or any dancer aged 20+ as of January 1, 2027, the entry will be placed in the Adult Division and judged for adjudication only.

Division Constraints: The average age of an entry may not drop more than one age division below the age of the oldest dancer. (Example: if an entry contains dancers ranging in ages 7-18, the entry may not compete in a division younger than the Teen Division (13-15), which is one division younger than the oldest dancer who is 18)

Competing in a Higher Age Division: Entries with an average calculated age within .5 of the next age division are welcome to compete in that higher age division if they choose. (Example: a Teen Division entry with an average age 15.5-15.99 can compete in the Senior Division, however a Teen Division entry with an average age of 13-15.49 is ineligible to compete in the Senior Division. Please reach out to our office to request any Age Division advances. 

TIME LIMITS

The below time limits apply to the full performance, not only the length of the music track.

Solo: 2:30 min

Duo/Trio: 3:00 min

Small Group (4-9): 3:00 min

Large Group (10-16): 4:00 min

Line (17-24): 5:00 min

Production (25+): 6:00 min

Please Note: Performances exceeding these limits will incur a deduction of .5 points per judge, per minute.

Extended Time: Extended time for Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines, and Productions is available for purchase, and must be purchased prior to the event. 

Grace Periods: We provide a 30-second grace period for Small Groups, Large Groups, Lines, and Productions, and a 5-second grace period for Solos before extended time is required. Note that extended time is not available for Solos or Duo/Trios.

COMPETITION EXPERIENCE ENTRIES

GENRES

Entries should be registered under the genre that best represents the prominent movement style of the entry. The entry must consist of movement with at least an 80% adherence to that genre.

ACRO dance combines classical dance technique with acrobatic elements. Movement should flow smoothly between dance and tricks, highlighting both artistry and athleticism.

TAP dance is a uniquely audio-visual form that is characterized by the percussive sounds generated by either the metal taps or hard-soled shoes worn by the dancer(s). Specific rhythms are outlined in the choreography and then generated by the performers; these rhythms hold equal importance to the physical movements of the body which support the sound. The rhythms and movement work in tandem with music, but the rhythms can also serve solely as music, therefore technique applies greatly to both facets.

JAZZ dance is a dynamic and technical form that includes several styles, such as Classical Jazz, Latin Jazz, Afro Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Commercial Jazz, Street Jazz, and Broadway Jazz. Jazz technique primarily involves clean (or clear) body lines as well as parallel positions and shapes; movements tend to be bold, stylish, and isolated. While not mandatory, uptempo music is often used and dancers reflect the mood and point of view of the music.

CONTEMPORARY dance is a broad and widely inclusive form that draws from and typically combines several other genres including, but not limited to, Ballet, Modern, and Jazz dance. Contemporary choreography is distinguished by its abstract and innovative movement as well as its challenging and dense concepts. The music involved in contemporary entries is usually varied, from traditional to experimental, but often employed as a backdrop to the piece and a foundation for the intention of the dancer(s).

LYRICAL dance is an expressive and emotional form that draws primarily from ballet, jazz, and modern dance techniques. Lyrical dance focuses on strength, control, and clarity of movement and can be distinguished either by deeply expressive or narrative intentions. The movement is usually in direct response to the lyrics, mood, or content of the music chosen and it is the goal of the dancer(s) to embody that through performance.

BALLET dance is a foundational form that is based on a specific kind of technicality and employs a classic vocabulary of movement. Classical Ballet movement is designed to showcase stability and grace, as well as the understanding of turnout; thus technique is absolutely critical. Entries should demonstrate melody and harmony of movement as it relates to music. Performers may wear Ballet shoes, Pointe shoes, or no shoes.

HIP-HOP is an ever-evolving form that involves movement deriving from hip hop foundations such as Breaking, Popping, Locking, Waving, etc. as well as the commercial dance industry and current social dances. The form tends to focus on individuality within collective movement, striving for entertainment and cleanliness simultaneously, and recognition of the form's roots. Choreography tends to directly reference the music through musicality, lyricism, tonality, and overall structure.

MUSICAL THEATRE is a highly theatrical dance form that derives from stage-bound origins, such as Broadway or the West End, and is often choreographed to a recognizable track from a stage or movie musical. Musical Theatre routines are distinguished by their heightened performance tendencies, such as lip-syncing, and an established storyline, employing dancers as specific characters. Musical Theatre entries often showcase jazz choreography, but they can include a wide range of movement types, including tap, as long as the musical narrative continues to be apparent.

BALLROOM is a global dance form that includes numerous variations such as the Cha cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive, and Paso Doble. Ballroom is distinguished by certain disciplines in the lower body including the hips, legs, and feet that correspond with a specific poise approach and control in the upper body. There is often a character or historical approach to ballroom choreography, which is discernible by music choice and an interpretive performance quality.

OPEN movement and choreography tends to draw upon or combine numerous sub-genres of dance including, but not limited to, Clogging, Afro, Character, World Dance, Acrobatics, Jazz Funk, etc. Given the wide possibilities of sub-genres involved, dancers must strive to be proficient in all variations that the piece itself calls for. The choreography or the concept in which it is serving must be clearly understood and executed by all performers.

MUSIC REQUIREMENTS

Music must be uploaded via your online registration portal! You can start this process at the beginning of registration and must complete all uploads at least 7 days prior to the event. Please bring a USB flash drive to the event as a backup!

Please Note: Recorded tap sounds for entries in the Tap Division are not allowed and will incur a .5 point deduction per judge.

SCORING AND ADJUDICATION

Entries will be judged by a panel of 4 judges at every event. The lowest score will be dropped and the remaining three scores will be totaled.

We strive for a conflict-free experience for our judges and competitors. On the rare occasion that a judge must adjudicate their own choreography, they will abstain from entering a score and the remaining three judges’ scores will be totaled. Critique will be provided by all four judges.

Technical Execution: 30% of total score

Choreographic Execution: 30% of total score

Performance Quality: 20% of total score

Overall Impression: 20% of total score

ADJUDICATION PLACEMENT/SCORING:

Ultimate Platinum: 291-300

Platinum: 284-290

High Gold: 270-283

Gold: 250-269

COMPETITION EXPERIENCE AWARDS

ADJUDICATED AWARDS:

All entries will receive an adjudication placement based on the scoring criteria above (Ultimate Platinum, Platinum, High Gold, Gold)

OVERALL AWARDS:

The highest scoring entries will be recognized in each age division for Solo, Duo/Trio, Small Group, Large Group, Line, and Production categories. The number of overall awards presented/announced will be determined by the number of entries in each age division/category as follows:

1-4 Entries: 1st Place Overall

5-9 Entries: 1st-3rd Places Overall

10-19 Entries: 1st-5th Places Overall

20+Entries: 1st-10th Places Overall

Any Small Group, Large Group, Line, or Production entry winning 1st Overall at a regional event during the 2026-2027 season earns 50% off that entry’s competition entry fee for NDH 2027.

GENRE BASED OVERALL AWARDS:

The highest-scoring group entry per genre will be awarded in each age division (Sparks, Mini, Junior, Teen, Senior)

HEARTSTOPPER AWARD:

Two Heartstopper Awards will be presented at each event. One to the overall highest-scoring group entry in the 12 & Under Age Division and one to the overall highest-scoring group entry in the 13 & Over Age Division. Small Group, Large Group, Line, and Production entries are all eligible for this award. Winners receive a $300 registration credit that can be applied toward the National Dance Honors 2027 or the 2027-2028 Revive regional season! 

STUDIO INTEGRITY AWARD (previously SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD):

The studio that best exemplifies integrity, character, professionalism, and kindness throughout the Classroom Series and Competition Experience will be recognized. The recipient of this award is chosen by our event staff.

ENCORE SHOWCASE(new this season)

Every weekend our judges will select group entries from the Competition Experience that will be invited to re-perform in the closing show. The Encore Showcase selections are entries that the judges are excited to see on stage again and are not necessarily based on score. Studios will be notified Saturday evening (Friday for events in Utah) if they have an entry that has been selected.

Each Encore Showcase selection will receive a studio credit to be applied towards the 2026-2027 season.

PROPS/SETPIECES

SETUP AND TEARDOWN: We want to facilitate your creative vision while keeping our competition running smoothly and on schedule for all performers. 

You have up to 2 minutes to bring props onto the stage and place them. You have up to 2 minutes to clear all props off the stage once the performance ends.

If your entry features complex scenery, multiple pieces, or large props that require more time, you can purchase Extended Setup/Teardown time during registration. This fee is $150 per entry, and will grant you a total of 5 minutes for setup and 5 minutes for teardown. (2min allotted time + up to 3mins purchased time)

Please Note: A .5 point deduction per judge, per minute will incur for entries that exceed the 2 minute setup/teardown limit without purchasing extra time. Even with the extended time purchased, you may not exceed the 5-minute limit for either setup or teardown. Further deductions will occur. 

LOGISTICS: Studios are responsible for the setup and removal of all props for their entries. Any person who is not part of the registered entry may not remain on stage at any time during the performance. The Adrenaline Dance team is not responsible for any prop damage that may occur during the entry or setup/teardown. 

SAFETY: Props declared dangerous by our staff will not be permitted. No live animals, fog, or pyrotechnics are allowed. The use of certain substances including sand, baby powder, paint, liquids, or similar substances are not allowed to come in contact with any part of our stage, set, and/or equipment, and will result in a .5 point deduction per judge.

PERFORMANCE SAFETY: For safety, no person or object can be thrown or tossed off the stage. Likewise, jumping off of the stage is not allowed. The stage/set (including wings) must remain as-is unless you have explicit permission from our production team to use the space in an alternate way.

LIGHTING/LED WALL: You may request our stage lights and LED wall be dimmed or blacked out. Although please note, The Adrenaline logo will remain visible on the LED wall at all times.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Our faculty is eager to see you shine! Dancers registered for the full Classroom Series workshop are eligible to be selected for various scholarships at each event. Our faculty will be selecting recipients by looking at the whole dancer—celebrating not just your technical talent, but also your energy, enthusiasm, and the way you engage with your peers in class. Dancers will be observed by our faculty during all Classroom Series sessions as well as the Audition Experience for scholarship selection.

To ensure a fair and rewarding process, dancers will audition based on their age as of January 1, 2027. If a dancer chooses to join a higher-level for the Classroom Series, they must audition in that higher-level room to be considered for a scholarship. Please note that for scholarship eligibility, dancers should remain in or above their age-appropriate level. If a dancer moves down an age level, they are no longer eligible for scholarships.

Please Note: Sparks moving up to the Mini level for the Classroom Series are not eligible for Honored Dancer Nominee scholarships. Additionally, one-day Classroom Series participants and dancers aged 20+ are not eligible for scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Scholarships are awarded to discount the Classroom Series tuition at a future Adrenaline Dance or National Dance Honors event. Any other expenses, such as fees for the Competition Experience, are not included in the scholarship.

A dancer can redeem their scholarship by attending one of our events only if they are registered with the same studio as when the scholarship was earned. If a dancer wishes to redeem an award and attend while registered with a different studio, they must simply provide a written release from the original Studio Owner/Director. Scholarships can only be redeemed for an Adrenaline Dance event in the following season. 

Scholarships are single-use, non-transferable between Adrenaline and Revive, and must be used prior to the expiration date printed on the voucher.

SUPER SPARK SCHOLARSHIP (new this season)

The Super Spark Scholarship is awarded to one standout Spark at each event, selected by our Sparks Director. Recipients are entitled to one free single regional Classroom Series tuition during the 2027-2028 season.

EMERGING ARTIST SCHOLARSHIP (new this season)

The Emerging Artist scholarship gives our faculty the opportunity to acknowledge dancers who possess unique artistry and talent. This scholarship is for dancers who standout, dancers with a creative voice, and dancers whose passion, care, and efforts are undeniable. 

Emerging Artist scholarships are awarded to Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age levels as selected by the faculty in each city. Recipients are entitled to one free single regional Classroom Series tuition during the 2027-2028 season.

PERFORMANCE CREW SCHOLARSHIP (new this season)

Awarded to Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior dancers who are selected for the Performance Crew at the Audition Experience in each city. Recipients are entitled to one free single regional Classroom Series tuition during the 2027-2028 season.

Please Note: Dancers who attend multiple Adrenaline Dance events within one regional season are eligible to participate in the Audition Experience and be selected for multiple Performance Crews, but are only able to redeem one Performance Crew Scholarship in the following season.

HONORED DANCER NOMINEE

We love to recognize dancers who bring exceptional work ethic, standout technical abilities, and electric performance quality to class! Mini, Junior, Teen and Senior Nominees are chosen by our faculty throughout the Classroom Series sessions. 

Recipients will earn:

• 100% off Classroom Series tuition to one of the 2027 National Dance Honors events.

• An invitation and eligibility to compete for Honored Dancer and participate in the Honored Crew Experience at NDH (additional fees apply).

ELITE HONORED DANCER NOMINEE

From our pool of Honored Dancer nominees, the faculty may collectively recognize several Elite Honored Dancer Nominees who demonstrate exceptional talent, dedication, and performance.

Recipients will earn:

• 100% off Classroom Series tuition to one of the 2026 National Dance Honors events.

• UNLIMITED free regional Classroom Series tuition during the 2027-2028 regional season.

• An invitation and eligibility to compete for Honored Dancer and participate in the Honored Crew Experience at NDH (additional fees apply).

ADVANTAGE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is our way of thanking Studio Directors/Owners for encouraging their students to embrace the Classroom Series experience. Studios that bring 40 or more full-paying dancers will receive a single Classroom Series scholarship to award to one student. This allows the recipient to return to one event during the 2027-2028 season and participate in the Classroom Series free of charge
