










• SOLOISTS, DUETS, AND TRIOS DO NOT HAVE TO PRE-QUALIFY FOR THE NATIONAL FINALS COMPETITION. • Competition entries with payment must be postmarked or received by June 7, 2012 to avoid late fees. A 5% late fee will apply to total competition fee amount. • A studio can bring a maximum of 40 groups to the National Finals competition and as many solos, duos, and trios as they wish. Each soloist is allowed to compete no more than 2 solo entries with the exception of Adrenaline Nationals Crew (ANC), Contemporary Crew, Jazz Crew, Tap Crew, and Hip Hop Crew members competing for National Mr/Miss Adrenaline. All ANC, Contemporary Crew, Jazz Crew, Tap Crew, and Hip Hop Crew members may compete 1 solo in the National Mr/Miss Adrenaline Competition and 2 solos in the National Solo Competition. All 3 solo routines MUST be different. • All Groups, Lines, and Productions in the National Finals competition must have qualified at either an Adrenaline Regional competition or the Nationals pre-qualifying competition. • The overall number of Finals competition entries will be limited to the time available. All entries will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Timely postmarks do not guarantee acceptance of entries. • Name, age, and date of birth of ALL the dancers must appear on entry form or it will not be accepted. • Group routines entered in same performance category must have at least a 50% change in participants. •No professional dancers may compete; however, they can attend workshop classes. • ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGES TO COMPETITION ENTRIES WILL BE MADE WITHIN 14 DAYS OF THE START OF THE NATIONAL FINALS. NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN FOR CANCELLED ROUTINES OR REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF DANCERS.


*If a teacher of any age performs with the group, it is automatically entered in the Adult/ Teacher Division and will be judged for adjudication only and is not eligible for overall awards.
• Age division determination for all solo, duo, trio, and groups, including groups in the pre-qualifying competition, are as of January 1, 2012.
• Age division determination for the Mr/Miss Adrenaline (Crew Members only) National Title Competition are the same as the Regional in which they were selected for their Crew. Age determination is as of January 1, 2012.
• To determine the average age of an entry, add together the ages of all dancers in the routine and divide by the total number of dancers in the entry. All averages are to be rounded down to the nearest whole number.
• The average age of any entry may not drop more than one age division below the actual age of the oldest dancer in the entry regardless of the calculated average age.

•Any payment received after the 30-day cutoff prior to the event must be in the form of credit card or cashier’s check and include a 5% late fee.
• All competition fees are per person per entry.
• No checks drawn on banks outside the U.S. are accepted.
• All entries are final and non-refundable. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Separate checks must be written for convention entry fees and competition registrations. Both checks must be submitted simultaneously. All checks should be made payable to Adrenaline Dance, Inc. A return check charge of $35 will apply to all returned checks in addition to cancellation of registration.
• Tap: Routine that consists of tap technique. Tap shoes only.
• Jazz: Routine that consists of primarily jazz technique.
• Lyrical: Routine that consists of a combination of jazz/modern/ballet techniques incorporating balance, control, and interpretation.
• Ballet: Routine that consists of ballet or pointe techniques. Must include classical steps and
movements.
• Contemporary: Routine that consists of a fusion between, jazz, lyrical and modern techniques.
• Hip Hop: Routine that consists of stylistic movements of the urban element.
• Musical Theatre: Routine that consists of dramatic interpretation.
• Modern: Routine that consists of modern techniques.
• Open: Routine that consists of any dance style or combination of dance styles not listed above
(acrobatic, clogging, etc.)
• Entry routines containing more than 3 gymnastic passes must be entered in the open
category. Otherwise, 1 point per judge will be deducted and the routines will be moved to the
appropriate category.

•Scoring is done on an adjudicated point scale by 5 judges, each scoring up to a total of 100 points. The high and low scores of each routine will be dropped. The score of your routine will be the average of the 3 remaining judge’s scores.
- Technique: 35 points
- Execution: 30 points
- Showmanship: 20 points
- Choreography and Musicality: 10 points
- Costume: 5 points
• All ties will be broken by a Judge’s poll.

• In the "Last Call" pre-qualifying competition, all routines will be judged by 3 judges. In all "National Finals" Competitions, routines will be judged by 5 judges. The Nationals Final Night "Best of Show" Competition will be judged by 10 judges/teachers.
• You must receive an Ultimate Platinum, Platinum, High Gold, Gold, or High Silver award in the pre-qualifying competition to advance to the National Finals Competition.
• Awards will be presented based on the following combined scores:
- Ultimate Platinum 291-300
- Platinum 285-290
- High Gold 279-284
- Gold 273-278
- High Silver 267-272
- Silver 266 or less
• Judges written score sheets, video critiques, and submitted music may be picked up at the registration desk starting at 12 noon Thursday July, 12th. These items will be given to thedesignated teacher/director only.
• Judges decisions are final.

• Time limits for routines are as follows:
-Solo: 2 minutes, 45 seconds
-Duo/Trio: 2 minutes, 45 seconds
-Small Group: 3 minutes
-Large Group: 3 minutes
-Line: 4 minutes
-Production: 8 minutes
-Extended Time: 1 additional minute added to "group routines" only.
• The extended time category ONLY applies to group routines. By checking the extended time box on your registration form you will get one additional minute for your group routine performance. The fee for this additional minute is $10 per dancer.
• Any small group, large group, line, or production that exceeds the regular allotted time limit will be considered an extended routine and subject to an additional $10 fee per dancer.
• Any number that is over the extended time limit will receive a 1 point deduction per judge and subject to an additional $10 fee per dancer.
• Competing dancers should be ready 1 hour prior to their scheduled competition time. If the competition is running ahead of schedule, dancers will be expected to perform.
• Competing dancers must perform in their scheduled order unless special permission is given by Adrenaline Dance for costume changes.
• Any routines not able to perform in the order that they are scheduled must make arrangements with the emcee PRIOR to the start of the competition or risk possible point deductions.
• Any choreography that is not considered age appropriate by the panel of judges will have up to 5 points deducted by each judge and possible disqualification.

• All music must be submitted at the beginning of each day, before noon.
• Please provide one professional quality CD per routine. Only 1 song is allowed per CD.
• Each CD must be labeled with: title of entry, studio name, studio code and entry number.
• NO MUSIC ON IPODS ACCEPTED.

• General props are permitted but must be taken on and off the stage quickly. Be aware that there may be restrictions regarding the size and weight of the props. Have a clean up crew ready for any objects left on stage.
• There will be a 2-minute set-up/tear down time limit before and after routines with props. Any props that take longer to set up or tear down will automatically be considered an EXTENDED number and subject to an additional $10 fee per dancer. Any prop that needs a longer set-up time must notify Adrenaline Dance, Inc. before the start of the competition.
• Adrenaline Dance, Inc. is not responsible for shipping, transportation, storage, damage, or theft of any props.
• No dangerous props may be used during the competition.
• No live animals are permitted as props.
• Any excessive scenery and elaborate lighting may not be used.
• Tap sounds on recordings of tap numbers will result in a 2 point deduction from each judge.

• The stage is a Marley floor measuring approximately 60’ x 36’.

• Video cameras, flash and non-flash photography are strictly prohibited at all times during convention classes and competition. Please let everyone know about this rule. Video Taping and Photography may result in disqualification of the ENTIRE studio.
• Professional Video and action shots will be taken during the convention classes and competition which will be available for purchase at the front desk.
• Through their participation in the convention and/or competition, all dancers give authorization for the use of their image, photos, and/or video for Adrenaline Dance publicity and advertisement purposes.

• All Adrenaline Nationals Crew, Contemporary Crew, Jazz Crew, Tap Crew, and Hip Hop Crew members competing for the Mr/Miss Adrenaline National title must enter 1 solo into the "Mr/Miss Adrenaline Solo Competition." They may also enter 2 ADDITIONAL SOLOS in the "Nationals Finals Solo Competition." A dancer may only compete each solo once.
• The 2012 Mr. and Miss Adrenaline Junior, Teen & Senior will be chosen based on the following criteria:
*50% solo score in the Mr/Miss Adrenaline National Finals Solo Competition
*20% jazz audition
*20% ballet audition
*10% choice of tap or hip hop audition
• During the Final Night Gala Dinner, the Top 10 finalists in each of the Junior, Teen and Senior age divisions will be announced. From the Top 10 finalists, the Top 5 finalists in each age category will be announced . From the Top 5 finalists, the Top 3 finalists in each age category will be announced. Top 3 finalists will immediately compete in the Final Night Show for the title of Mr/Miss Adrenaline 2012. The top 3 finalist competing for the title MUST perform the same routine they performed in the Mr/Miss Solo competition.

• If a group number received "Best of Show" finalist in either the Mini, Junior, Teen or Senior divisions at any of our regional cities in the 2011-12 tour season, the competition entry fee for this number is waived for the National Finals Competition.
• Top 10 group routines in each age division: Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior will advance to the "Final Night" to compete for the national Best of Show title. Limit one group routine per studio per age division.
• Total routines allowed into "Final Night" is subject to change.

• Closing night gala features a sit down dinner and: National Finals "Best of Show" Competition consisting of the Top 10 overall group high scores in the Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age category divisions (limit 1 group per studio per age division), Mr. & Miss Adrenaline Finalists, and Crew performances with other special events.
• Ticket price: $85 before cut-off date, $100 after cut-off date, dinner includes choice of fish, chicken or beef with salad, beverage and dessert.
• Seating is limited and this event will sell out. ADVANCE PURCHASE IS ESSENTIAL.
• CUTOFF DATE FOR PURCHASE OF TICKETS: JUNE 7, 2012.
• No one will be admitted to the Gala event without a paid ticket, even if you have dancers competing in the Final Night "Best of Show". Dancers in the show may choose not to purchase a ticket, but they will not sit down at a table or be served dinner. They must exit the ballroom upon completion of their performance and will not be allowed to re-enter without a ticket.

• For each studio, the top GROUP scores in each of the Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age divisions will be added up for a total combined score. The studio with the highest combined score at 2012 Nationals will be awarded the RUSH award and entitled to a free cruise for two (inquire with Adrenaline Dance for time and dates). There must be an aggregate minimum of 200 GROUP competition numbers at Nationals for the award to be given.
• $2,500 Adrenaline credit voucher is awarded to the overall highest scoring routine in any category of ALL age divisions (mini, junior, teen & senior) to be used during the 2012-2013 regional season.
Top 10 overall group high scores in the Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior age categories (limit 1 group per studio per age division) will compete during the Final Night Gala for "Best of Show" to win the following cash awards:
